PROJECT OVERVIEW
Wakely Associates partnered with Clinton Township to replace an aging fire station with a modern, purpose-built public safety facility designed to enhance emergency response capabilities while supporting the health, safety, and operational needs of the Township's firefighters. The project involved the demolition of the existing fire station and township offices, followed by the construction of a new facility that reflects the evolving demands of today's fire and emergency services. Through thoughtful planning and efficient design, the new station provides a durable, high-performing environment
The new fire station includes modern apparatus bays, firefighter living quarters, administrative offices, training and support spaces, and comprehensive site redevelopment designed to improve operational efficiency and emergency response readiness. Every component of the facility was carefully planned to streamline daily operations, improve circulation, and provide firefighters with functional spaces for training, collaboration, equipment storage, and around-the-clock occupancy. The redesigned site further enhances vehicle access, safety, and overall functionality while creating a welcoming civic presence within the community.
More than a replacement facility, Clinton Township Fire Station No. 1 represents a long-term investment in public safety infrastructure and the first responders who serve the community every day. By providing modern, resilient, and efficient facilities, the project enhances emergency preparedness, supports firefighter wellness, and ensures the Township is equipped to meet the public safety needs of its growing community for decades to come.
