PROJECT OVERVIEW
Wakely Associates partnered with Macomb County to modernize the 42-1 District Court in Romeo through a series of exterior improvements designed to enhance the building's appearance, functionality, and public accessibility. As an important civic facility serving the community, the project focused on creating a more welcoming and professional entrance while improving the overall presence of the courthouse.
The renovation included a comprehensive exterior façade upgrade and the construction of a new front entrance that reinforces the building's identity while improving accessibility and the visitor experience. Thoughtfully designed architectural enhancements refreshed the appearance of the existing facility, creating a more inviting arrival sequence for employees, court personnel, attorneys, and members of the public. The improvements were carefully integrated with the existing building to provide a cohesive, durable, and timeless solution that supports the long-term needs of the County.
The completed renovation reflects Macomb County's commitment to maintaining high-quality public facilities that are both functional and welcoming. By modernizing the courthouse's exterior and creating a more prominent entrance, the project enhances the building's civic presence while providing an improved experience for everyone who visits and works within the facility.
