PROJECT OVERVIEW
Wakely Associates partnered with Clinton Township to design and construct Fire Station No. 5, a state-of-the-art public safety facility created to enhance emergency response capabilities while supporting the operational, training, and wellness needs of the Township's firefighters. Designed to meet the demands of modern fire and emergency services, the new station provides a highly functional environment that promotes operational efficiency, rapid response, and long-term adaptability while serving as an important civic asset for the community.
The new 16,664-square-foot facility features a four-bay drive-through apparatus garage, modern firefighter living quarters, a dedicated training center, administrative offices, and a variety of support spaces designed to accommodate the daily operations of a 24-hour emergency response organization. The drive-through apparatus layout improves vehicle circulation and deployment efficiency, while the integrated training facilities provide firefighters with opportunities for ongoing education, skills development, and emergency preparedness. Complete site development further enhances accessibility, traffic flow, and overall functionality, creating a safe and efficient environment for emergency personnel and visitors alike.
More than a fire station, Fire Station No. 5 represents Clinton Township's commitment to investing in the infrastructure that protects its residents and supports the dedicated professionals who serve the community every day. By combining modern operational features with flexible training, administrative, and living spaces, the facility strengthens the Township's emergency response network while providing firefighters with a resilient, high-quality workplace that will serve the community for decades to come.
