PROJECT OVERVIEW
Wakely Associates partnered with Macomb County to enhance the security and appearance of the 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore through a series of carefully planned exterior improvements. Designed to strengthen the safety of the courthouse while complementing the surrounding site, the project reflects the County's ongoing commitment to maintaining secure, functional, and welcoming public facilities.
The scope of work included the installation of decorative security fencing surrounding the existing retention pond and other exterior security enhancements that improve site protection without compromising the civic character of the courthouse. The design carefully balances security, durability, and aesthetics, creating a solution that enhances public safety while integrating seamlessly with the existing architecture and landscape. Thoughtful planning ensured that the improvements support the daily operations of the court while providing a secure environment for employees, visitors, and the community.
Although modest in scale, the project demonstrates the importance of proactive investments in public safety infrastructure. By enhancing the exterior security of the 42-2 District Court, Macomb County has reinforced its commitment to protecting critical public facilities while preserving an accessible, professional, and welcoming environment for all who utilize the courthouse.
