PROJECT OVERVIEW
Wakely Associates partnered with Macomb County to modernize and expand the Probate Court and 16th Circuit Court facilities, creating a more efficient, functional, and secure environment for the delivery of judicial services. As part of the County's long-term facilities improvement strategy, the project was designed to enhance court operations while accommodating the evolving needs of the judicial system, court personnel, and the public they serve.
The renovation focused on expanding courtroom capacity and reconfiguring existing spaces to improve functionality, circulation, and operational efficiency throughout the facility. Careful planning was essential to ensure that the renovated spaces met the specialized requirements of judicial proceedings while providing a safe, accessible, and professional environment for judges, staff, attorneys, jurors, and visitors. The project balanced modern building standards with the unique operational demands of a working courthouse, resulting in an improved facility that supports both daily court operations and long-term flexibility.
The completed renovations represent Macomb County's continued investment in strengthening its judicial infrastructure and improving public access to essential government services. By creating modern court facilities that support efficiency, security, and functionality, the project provides an enhanced experience for employees and the public while ensuring the County's judicial system is well equipped to serve the community for years to come.
