PROJECT OVERVIEW
Wakely Associates partnered with Ferndale Public Schools to implement a comprehensive district-wide improvement program focused on modernizing educational facilities, enhancing campus safety, and creating learning environments that support the evolving needs of students, educators, and the community. Through strategic planning and thoughtful design, the program addressed both immediate facility needs and long-term infrastructure investments, ensuring each improvement contributed to the district’s vision for high-quality, future-ready educational spaces.
The scope of work included classroom renovations, building modernization, technology infrastructure upgrades, security enhancements, roofing improvements, athletic facility upgrades, and site improvements across multiple school facilities. Each component of the program was carefully coordinated to improve the functionality, durability, and performance of district buildings while creating flexible learning environments that promote collaboration, engagement, and student success. Infrastructure improvements were designed to increase operational efficiency, extend the life of existing facilities, and support the district’s continued investment in educational excellence.
By balancing modernization with responsible stewardship of existing resources, the project has strengthened Ferndale Public Schools' ability to provide safe, welcoming, and innovative environments where students can thrive. The district-wide improvements not only enhance the daily educational experience but also position the district to effectively serve future generations through resilient, adaptable, and technology-rich learning spaces.
