Macomb County
Marine Division Boat House
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Wakely Associates partnered with Macomb County to design a new 12,516-square-foot Marine Division Boat House that serves as a dedicated operations center for the County's marine law enforcement division. Purpose-built to support the unique demands of marine policing, the facility provides the infrastructure, operational spaces, and specialized equipment necessary to ensure efficient emergency response, daily operations, and long-term service along Macomb County's waterways.
The facility was designed to seamlessly integrate administrative functions with marine operations, creating an efficient environment that supports law enforcement personnel both on and off the water. The project includes administrative offices, briefing and training areas, secure storage, indoor boat docks, vessel hoists, maintenance and service areas, and support spaces that allow officers to quickly prepare, deploy, and maintain marine equipment. Every aspect of the facility was carefully planned to improve operational efficiency while providing durable, functional spaces capable of supporting the specialized needs of the Marine Division.
Beyond its operational role, the Marine Division Boat House represents Macomb County's continued investment in public safety infrastructure and community service. By providing modern facilities that enhance emergency preparedness, equipment readiness, and day-to-day operations, the project strengthens the County's ability to protect residents, respond to emergencies, and safeguard the waterways that serve as an important recreational and economic resource for the region.
